What is the role of a ship agent?

A ship agent is someone who represents the interests of the ship owner and/or charterer (known as the Principal) while the ship is at any port around the world. The agent takes instruction from the principals to arrange the berthing, and unberthing of the ship and its cargo/husbandry operations.

We are one of the leading logistics agents, providing services that are a combination of people and logic matching international standards. We represent the blue-chip vessel owners and operators at all the ports in Pakistan. We attend as the charter’s nominated agents for the purpose of not only vessel port movement but also to ensure the protection of the charterer’s interests and expedite cargo operations and minimize demurrage. We arrange crew changes, repairs, transport, air travel, and all such facilities for the vessels calling under our agency. We expedite the vessel’s port call and coordinate the replenishment of bunkers, stevedores, surveyors, etc. We offer the service of a “ Protective Agent” at a normal agency fee.
